Are there Reasons They Should be Allowed to Stay?

In today’s political environment, much has been said about where children should be allowed to stay. Each child coming into this world is a miracle of God. When God created Adam and Eve, He created them to illustrate truths about Himself.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:27-28)
Because mankind was created in the image of God, God established strong sanctions against the murder of human life.
“Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” (Genesis 9:6)
God made it clear, through the Psalmist, David, that human life does not begin at birth. It begins long before that in the plan and purpose of God. Speaking of his own life, King David observed,
“Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalms 139:16)
Even before King David’s body began developing in the womb, God had designed his conception as a human being. Many years later, one of his offspring, Mary, a virgin, was with child of the Holy Spirit. This child’s coming was prophesied shortly after Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden (see Genesis 3:15). He was and is God the Son in the flesh. He came to shed His blood to save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).
Though God prevented it, Satan, through Herod, sought to murder the baby Jesus after His birth. If Herod had known the prophesies of Christ’s coming sooner, he might well have mandated a state-sponsored abortion of all babies. Those who destroy a child in the womb, destroy a human life designed by God. If God had allowed the abortion of Jesus, the world would have no redeemer!
Shouldn’t a child, once conceived, be allowed to stay in the womb to continue life after birth?
