Have you demonstrated God’s choice of  you by choosing Him?

I was born dead with a heart made of stone.
It sought not for God’s will but only my own.
My will sought more toys and for things that were fun.
It wasn’t concerned about loving God’s Son.
But God had long chosen to make me alive.
My heart would be changed when His time had arrived.
The Lord had ordained all the things that He’d do
to quicken my dead heart and make it brand new.
He gave me a family that taught me His Word.
I learned of God’s Son and His coming to Earth.
I learned that He died to pay sin’s awful cost.
I learned that without Him I’d always be lost.
And yet my dead heart was still made of stone.
It sought not for God’s will but only my own.
But God had long chosen to make me alive.
My heart would be changed and the time had arrived.
My dead stony heart was replaced by His power!
Something was happening. I know not the hour.
New thoughts were now forming. I started to fear.
My sin was so awful and God was so near.
He showed me that Jesus had died for my sins.
He drew me to come to Him, then took me in.
Lord Jesus I love you for dying to save.
Lord Jesus I know that you rose from the grave.
Lord Jesus I love you for saving my soul.
Lord Jesus I love you for making me whole.

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37). 

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).

“… the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.  And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed” (Acts 13:47-48). 

“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:” (2 Thessalonians 2:13).
