What are “Light-Drops?”
“Light-Drops” are short articles that I write for a weekly column in a local county newspaper. My wife, Kathy, has helped with the editing on most if not all of these articles. They deal with various topics of interest to a variety of people. All “Light-Drops,” however, seek to present the timeless truths of God’s Word, the Bible, on each issue being discussed.
The name “Light-Drops” is based on the fact that Jesus Christ said
“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).”
However since God is so full of light and these short articles are very brief, it seemed appropriate to recognize that they contain only little drops of His great light. May these little light-drops stir up your thirst for more!
We desire to bless the unsaved by presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them so that they might become saved. In addition to showing the unsaved that they are accountable to God, Kathy and I both pray that, through this website, God will also bless those who already know Christ as their personal Savior. To this end we seek to provide solid teaching from God’s Word. As we continue to minister through this web site we anticipate providing audio recordings of sermon series related to various Biblical topics. We hope to include studies on marriage, The Trinity, and “The Supreme Objective” of God. We also plan individual sermons on shorter topics as well as studies of particular books of the Bible presented over the years.
In all of this, we believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word which is pure, without error, and timeless. He, Himself, has provided His Word to the Human race and has decreed:
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).”
Because of this, our highest priority is to present God’s Word in the teachings of this website. My words may fall to the ground but God’s Word shall never fail.
As my wife and I observe the accelerating rate of this world’s departure from the Creator of all things, we see increasing harm coming to people as a result of the mischief this creates. We believe the world has never been in greater need of the warnings and love of the Lord God almighty. As the world increasingly experiences more and more of the consequences of their departure from the Lord of Life, May He prosper this website for His glory!
