WILL YOU TAKE THE MARK?

The Mark Worse than Death

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; … And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:11‑17)

This Scripture describes events yet to come.  When I was a very young man, I wondered how this worldwide system would be implemented.  It would have to be an incredibly pervasive and invasive system.  During the decades that have passed since then, I’ve watched technology advance beyond anything I imagined as a young man.  The world is ripe for such a system.

Here are some questions to ponder.  Could “the mark” be an RFID chip implanted in the right hand or forehead?  Could the animation of the beast’s image be based on artificial intelligence?  Regardless of how it’s done, God’s prophesy shall be fulfilled!

The Lord Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to save sinners, will change the hearts of His people.  They will trust him and avoid worshipping anyone else.

Those who don’t know the Lord as Savior, will take “the mark” and worship the beast’s image.  Scripture speaks of the terrible unending destiny of all who do.

“… If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:  And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:9‑11)

Will you ask Christ to save you, or will you remain willing to take “the mark?”
