You are under His Ultimate Authority

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It first describes His creation of the universe.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
God’s powerful Word displays His ultimate authority! The first chapter repeatedly joins the words, “And God said …” to a creative act.
Consider the first few of these occurrences.
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:3)
“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters … and it was so.” (Genesis 1:6-7)
“And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.” (Genesis 1:9)
In the Apostle Paul’s letter to Timothy, he declares Scripture is God’s authoritative Word.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)
The Bible declares that God the Son, Jesus Christ, who offered Himself as a blood sacrifice, is the only means of salvation.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
The conclusion of God’s Word, offers a wonderful final invitation. It also proclaims a sobering warning not to tamper with, or ignore any of God’s Word.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:17-21)
Is God’s Word your ultimate authority, or are you lost?
