THE SAVIOR AND THE TRUMP

Are You Ready for the Trump

Much of humanity lives in fear.  Worldwide economic and political chaos fans flames of violence in the streets.  Many now look for a political savior.

Some seem to believe that recent political events have produced a leader who will deliver us from our problems.  Others believe those same events have compounded our problems.  What most don’t realize is that our biggest problems are not political or economic.  Our biggest problems are spiritual.

Over the millennia, governments have risen and fallen but, through it all, one problem remains. Man is fallen!  Adam and Eve plunged the entire human race into iniquity and death by disobeying God, the creator, in Eden.  It was because of this horrible fall that God the Son came.  Jesus came to save his people from their sins.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew1:21)

So, what’s the relationship between the Savior and the trump?  Scripture is full of prophecies regarding Christ’s return for His own.  These prophesies show that His return shall be accompanied by a trump.

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51‑52)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

“…and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:30‑31)

After the brief millennia of this earth’s history terminates, Christ’s eternal kingdom shall endure forever.  Contemplating this, Jesus asked the following heart rending question:

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
