Is Anything Right or Wrong?

Do you believe in an absolute standard of right and wrong? If not, then what would you say if an intruder came to your door and threatened to kill you? Would you say, “Well, since there’s no absolute standard of right and wrong, I guess that’s O.K.!”? Not likely! Even those who claim there are no absolutes, don’t really believe it. Each person has some absolute sense of right and wrong.
Suppose only individual moral standards existed. If so, no one could claim their individual morality to be universally correct. The person facing the intruder at the door couldn’t justly claim the intruder’s threat is immoral. The homeowner could only say something like, “your moral compass is different from mine.”
In order to believe that no absolutes exist, one must deny the existence of God, the creator. This requires development of imaginary alternative sources of creation. The current popular alternative to creation is evolution. Though those who promote this theory try to claim it’s “scientific,” by definition it’s not! True science demands repeatable observation of the process in question. Since no human “scientist” was around when the process took place, this is impossible.
Furthermore, the theory (not fact) of evolution violates well accepted statistical and thermodynamic principles. Over the years, true scientists have discovered and modeled these principles with great precision.
Evolutionists are inconsistent in their denial of intelligent creation. Consider Stonehenge. It is an intricate arrangement of rocks. Because of this complexity, even evolutionists agree it must have been created by intelligent people. These same evolutionists conclude the opposite when faced with organic life, which is far more complex than Stonehenge. To admit intelligent creation of Stonehenge doesn’t require belief in God, because man can accomplish this level of complexity. But, to admit intelligent creation of organic life, would imply an infinitely intelligent creator far superior to man. This creator could only be Almighty God. Evolutionists refuse to accept such a conclusion.
God says of Himself,
“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8)
This creator God, whom evolutionists deny, provides the following warning:
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, … But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. … Nevertheless we, [Christians] according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:3, 7, 13)
