“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion …” (Genesis 1:27-28)
God created Adam and Eve to represent His glory. He instructed them to utilize their gender differences for producing a continuing sequence of offspring. In recent years, we’ve learned how completely God imprints each member of the human race with an indelibly assigned gender. Men have one X and one Y chromosome encoded into each body cell. Similarly, women have two X chromosomes. This encoding is permanent throughout life regardless of any gender changing therapies man has devised.
Early in man’s history, the fallen angel, Lucifer, hating God, endeavored to alienate humanity from Him. Man became enslaved to sin. Under Satan’s influence, humanity has plumbed the depths of Godlessness. Ancient pagan mythology is rampant with myths of false gods who sought to obliterate male/female distinctions. Some, today, argue that these ancient practices justify continued perpetration of this confusion. However, God Himself condemns it.
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22)
He also forbade such things that would contribute to this confusion.
“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 22:11)
Because of mankind’s stubbornness, God let them pursue their own wickedness and its consequences.
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:26-27)
STDs are only one aspect of those consequences.
God never provided salvation for Lucifer and the fallen angels, and was not obligated to do so for mankind. But He did! The coming of Messiah, which many celebrate at this time of year, was prophesied way back in Genesis chapter 3. Jesus, the Christ, was born of the virgin, Mary, to die and pay the penalty for sin.
Are you a slave to sin and its consequences? God, your only hope, extends this wonderful invitation to you.
“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45:22)
