HE KNOWS IF YOU’VE BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE

Who knows if you’ve been naughty or nice?

No: He doesn’t wear a red suit. He doesn’t drive a sleigh nor drop down chimneys on Christmas Eve. He doesn’t have elves building toys at the North Pole. Yet He provides the most wonderful gift to those who are written in His book of life.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. … And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:12-15).

The above passage shows that there’s a judgment coming. At this judgment the spiritually dead will be judged for their many wicked works. Those written in the Lamb’s book of life, however, will be delivered by Christ’s redeeming work at Calvary. They will enter into a special place which, even now, is being prepared for them. But those who’ve ignored or rejected Christ will not be there.

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:27).

God the Son, Jesus Christ, paid for the sins of His people by shedding His blood at Calvary. He was buried, and rose again, victorious! To those of you who have hearts burdened by sin, He has made the following wonderful invitation:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28).

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37).

Jesus saves only those who know they’re naughty, and ask forgiveness. Have you come to Him, or will you be cast out?
