Do You Want to Change a World?
How?

There is a great, wise King who created this vast universe. Upon completion, He declared it “very good.” In it, He placed a bountiful planet with special characteristics for nourishing life. He imbued one pair of creatures with spiritual and physical attributes reflecting His own perfection. He planted an amazing garden, assigning them to care for it. He instructed them to produce children through legitimate physical interaction. He established a framework of commands and principles for their conduct. He knew that their love, obedience, and emulation of Himself, would bring them great joy and blessing.
As life progressed, blessings multiplied. In fact, even today, good times are compared with the “Edenic” life in that garden. But then, an enemy, desiring to usurp the King’s position, introduced questions about His framework for behavior. One by one he replaced those righteous standards with his own evil perversions.
“…when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1:21-25)
Sadly, they had managed to change a world. Their spirits died the day they turned from their creator. Their bodies soon died too. Succeeding generations have since been described with the three words “…and he died.” (Genesis 5:5-20)
They had no ability to restore themselves. The King restores eternal life only to those moved to ask His Son for forgiveness.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” (Ephesians 2:4-5).
God the Son, Jesus Christ, died and rose again the third day to pay the punishment for His people’s sins.
Have you asked Him to forgive and save you, or will you continue to change a world with perversion?
