GLOBAL WARMING

Are You Ready for True Global Warming?

Global warming has become a well recognized term. Some believe global warming is a political fiction with sorely deficient scientific foundations which are, nevertheless, aggressively repeated. Others, who believe in global warming, mock those who don’t.

What is global warming? It’s a theory which includes the gradual rising of earth’s average temperature due to mankind’s industrial activities. Its expected results include the eventual melting of polar ice-caps thereby flooding low-lying population centers. There is, however, an even more intense meltdown described by God. The Bible describes it this way.

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. … But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (2 Peter 3:3-7, 10)

The earth won’t be destroyed by gradual, man-made global warming. Rather, God, Himself, will bring judgment upon “ungodly men” with sudden and unexpected “fervent heat.”

Do you fear the fervent heat of God’s wrath? If so there’s hope for you because Scripture says,

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10).

God the Son, Jesus Christ, sacrificed His own blood to pay for the deliverance of His people from God’s fearful wrath. However, only those who repent and cry out to Him, for mercy, will find forgiveness.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

Will God-given fear drive you to His mercy?
