Are You Fearfully and Wonderfully Made or just a Random Accident?

For many years I engineered electronic, mechanical, and software designs of complex medical devices. Our design teams never expected these systems to design themselves. Random chance and natural selection were never considered valid system development mechanisms. Time was a problem rather than a solution. Even well designed sub-systems deteriorated with time rather than integrating themselves into the more complex whole system.
The simplest living organism is far more complex than anything mankind ever designed. Yet a sizeable segment of the “scientific community” preaches that random chance and natural selection produced life. Such belief is incredible, contradicting the known principles of true science and mathematics.
God’s psalmist, David, declares God’s creation to be “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalm 139:14)
My co-workers and I were often impressed with the cleverness and complexity of our own designs. However, we knew that living organisms are incredibly more complex. One day, I had a telephone conversation with a self-proclaimed atheistic co-worker. He was a PhD biomedical engineer. He spent several minutes marveling over what he called the “insane complexity” of the human body. He eloquently described hosts of mutually interdependent processes required to work perfectly all the time. Disruption of even one process would render the individual sick, or dead. Then, realizing the impact of his words, he suddenly paused and said, “Of course none of this gives us any reason to believe in intelligent design.” To justify this sudden remark he said, “Any ‘God’ who would design something so insanely complex would have to be crazy.” Could it be that what he considered “insanely complex” is really quite simple to God?
Scripture proclaims,
“…when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools…” (Romans 1:21-22).
Adam and Eve were fearfully and wonderfully made by God’s intelligent design, but they sinned. Fellowship with God ceased. Spiritual and physical death came upon all humanity. Only through the sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection of God the Son, Jesus Christ, does God restore His people to life through faith in Christ.
Have you asked Him to save you?
