He’s Your Judge: Don’t Ignore Him

God the Son, Jesus Christ, came to us through a normal birth process. There was one major difference. The womb from which he was born was the womb of a virgin.
The Spirit of God directly fertilized that womb with no contamination by fallen man. That birth brought forth the man, Jesus Christ, who is God the Son. He was and is sinless and holy. The angel Gabriel explained it this way.
“… Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” Mary answered: “…How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” The angel replied: “…The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:30-35)
As we study the Bible in its entirety, we discover several important things about this Son of God. He is called “the Word” who created all things.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1-3)
He is the one who died an agonizing death on a Roman cross. There, God the Father punished Him for the sins of His people.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
He invites all who are burdened over their sinful condition to come ask Him for forgiveness. He promises to receive all who do.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
He is the judge before whom all mankind shall appear on the coming final judgment day. He will invite all who have come to Him in repentance to join Him in His eternal blessed kingdom. However, those who have rejected or ignored Him shall be sentenced to eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
“And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: … Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matthew 25:32-34, 41)
