Will You Choose the Destiny of Fallen Angels?

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:12-15)

Lucifer was a high ranking angel who was overcome with pride which resulted in his fall into wickedness.  Because of this, God has prepared a place of eternal torment for him and those angels that followed him.  This wicked being tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.  He tantalized them with the same desire to usurp God’s position which he, himself, had desired.  God never offered salvation to the devil and his angels.  They know they are doomed.  Yet, with passing millennia, they have persisted in their evil work of seducing humans into increasing rebellion against God.

However, when Adam and Eve sinned, God provided a costly plan of salvation.  It involved God the Son, Jesus Christ, coming to pay the infinite penalty for the sins of mankind.  As the ultimate Lamb of God, He was born of a virgin and maintained perfect sinless purity throughout life.  He subjected Himself to a horrible death on the cross of Calvary.  There He bore the punishment for the sins of His people. All into whose hearts God breathes faith and life are joyfully received by Him as they seek His perfect forgiveness.  They shall spend an eternity of joy and love praising their Savior.

However, those who reject Him and pass from this life without Him are lost forever.  In the day of judgment, Christ shall divide humanity into two groups.  Those who have rejected Him will be placed on His left.  Those who have trusted Him will be on His right.  Scripture records the destiny of those on His left with the following sobering decree.

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: ”(Matthew 25:41)

Having rejected Christ’s salvation, which was never offered to the devil and his angels, they shall receive that same punishment.  From this decree there shall never be any possibility of appeal.

On which side of Christ shall you be?
