Will You Enter Eternity Without Hope?

God created Heaven and earth and all creatures therein. Angels are part of His creation. Scripture reveals sobering truths about some of the angels. These angels rebelled against God as man did. Yet God never offered to save any of them. Scripture’s declaration about them makes me shudder.
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 1:6)
God reaffirms this bleak destiny of fallen angels in the letter of James to Israel’s scattered tribes.
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” (James 2:19)
Just as man’s fallen nature hates the true God, so do fallen angels. Yet they have no hope! Christ didn’t die for them. Christ never invites them to come to Him. Their eternal doom is sure, and they tremble in dread. They will continue to hate Him as they enter eternal judgment along with unsaved men and women (Matthew 25:41).
Is it unfair that God did not choose to save fallen angels? Some might think so, but those who believe Scripture know that Abraham was right when he said,
“…Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25)
There is no higher power that could have forced God to treat fallen mankind differently than fallen angels. Only His sovereign choice made the difference. Even if He had chosen to save only one person, it would have displayed His sovereign and undeserved mercy.
Yet God’s mercy far exceeded this. He sent His Son to save many people from their sins (Hebrews 2:10). Jesus, God the Messiah, died and rose again providing a sure and certain salvation for them by grace through faith.
If you are a Christian, do you comprehend the immensity of His sovereign mercy to you? He is even the source of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If unsaved, do you realize your precarious danger, should you fail to repent?
Truly, salvation by Jesus Christ is the sweetest music that can ever ring in a human heart.
If He stirs your heart to come to Him in faith, He will not send you away empty (John 6:37)!
