Shall Eternal Thanksgiving Flow from Your Heart?

This fallen world contains two different groups of people. We all deserve God’s eternal judgment for falling short of His glorious majesty and righteous requirements.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
However, God has blessed a few people in a special way. By God’s work in their hearts, they’ve trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. He’s the Messiah, God the Son, who came to be born of a virgin. After a pure, sinless life, He sacrificially endured Roman crucifixion. He died to “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). Though God commands all to repent (Acts 17:30), He declares that relatively few ever find this pathway to eternal salvation.
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
Those, who’ve received and found God’s great eternal blessing, can begin their eternal thanksgiving right now! Their sins are forgiven and, on judgment day, they’ll hear the following wonderful invitation from Christ Himself!
“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25:34)
For the many still living who’ve not found the “narrow way,” there’s no cause for eternal thanksgiving. But you can be thankful that you’ve not yet died and entered the eternal torment of the unsaved. Though still headed for that lost eternity, you’re still enjoying God’s blessings in this world. Also: if God so moves your heart, there’s still opportunity for you to repent and trust Christ. If you call upon Him, He won’t turn you away.
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37)
Jesus said the following about a hated tax collector:
“And the publican [tax collector], standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” (Luke 18:13)
Jesus then said:
“I tell you, this man went down to his house justified …:” (Luke 18:14)
If you die unsaved, you shall never be thankful again. Shall your Thanksgiving Day be an eternal thanksgiving, or only temporary?
