What are God’s Thoughts Concerning Murder?

Biblical prophesy has repeatedly proven itself absolutely correct. A few days ago, Kathy and I were driving down the highway. We noticed a sticker on the back of a car in front of us. It read “MEAT IS MURDER.” This reminded me of The Apostle Paul’s first letter to Timothy. In it he says the following.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” (1 Timothy 4:1‑5)
Here, “commanding to abstain from meats,” is one of the rebellious behaviors listed in this passage. After the flood, God specifically decreed meat to be legitimate food.
“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.” (Genesis 9:3-5)
Isn’t this ironic? God condones eating meat while establishing the penalty of death for killing human life. Yet, today, many condemn the eating of meat as “murder” while encouraging the murder of innocent human babies. How horrible! However, even in man’s wickedness God has demonstrated the accuracy of His prophecy.
Because fallen man is wicked, only God the Son, Jesus Christ, can pardon any of us. In obedience to God the Father, He willingly shed His blood to pay the penalty for sin. Jesus said,
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37)
Have you come to Christ, the only Savior, or are you rejecting Him and even His definition of “murder?
