Where Will You Be at the Beginning of Eternity?

In ancient times, God revealed, to Daniel, amazing events preceding the end of the world as we know it.

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (Daniel 12:1‑4)

Every person who’s ever lived shall eventually begin either an eternal state of blessing, or an eternal state of torment.

The Bible provides some additional interesting prophesies related to this event.  One refers to “a beast” who will establish total control over each individual’s ability to buy and sell.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16‑17)

Another describes the actual return of the crucified and risen Christ.  He is God the Son, who died to save His people from their sins.

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7)

Sixty years ago, as an eleven year old, I believed these prophesies, but couldn’t envision how they would be accomplished.  How would government so completely control each individual?  How could everyone, on earth, simultaneously see Christ’s return?  Today’s technology can easily answer these questions.

Today many do “run to and fro,” and knowledge has “increased.”
