A CHRISTLESS GOD IS NOT GOD AT ALL

Are You Trusting a Christless god Who Cannot Save?

There is a common misconception that all who believe in one God, believe in the same God.  Yet many who believe different gods, believe their god is the only one.  How can we identify the one true God?

God’s Holy Scriptures clearly answer this question.  They teach the tri-unity (trinity) of the Godhead.  Though I have spent years studying this foundational doctrine of Scripture, it is briefly summarized in the following passage.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

God began to reveal the woman’s “seed” (Jesus Christ) shortly after Adam and Eve sinned.  God told Satan that this “seed” would be his downfall.

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:15)

God sacrificed animals on behalf of Adam and Eve, thereby foreshadowing the sacrificial death of God, the Son.

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them”. (Genesis 3:21)

Years later, God presented the Passover Lamb as another picture of Christ who would shed His blood as the deliverer.

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”  (Exodus 12:13)

John the Baptist introduced Christ as the “Lamb of God.”

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)

There’s only one true God.  He exists in a unity of three persons.  God the Son died on the cross to save sinners.

Those who reject Christ, do not believe in the true God even though they may believe in one god.  Jesus said,

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. … I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:1-6)

Is your god a Christless god, or the one true God?
