Have You Sensed the Barrage?

The Lord Jesus warned His disciples that they would experience a barrage of spiritual evil.
“For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” (Mark 13:19‑22)
These words responded to questions, by several of Christ’s disciples, regarding the future. Notice: The barrage will be so deceptive that only by God’s miraculous power shall His elect be preserved. The means by which this barrage is foisted upon humanity has been greatly empowered by the worldwide communications networks of our day. Most of these networks are not friends of our Savior.
What are some of the ways this barrage of evil reaches us? Music is a powerful spiritual tool. Most of our music today tends to elicit emotions which do not encourage obedience to Christ’s demands. Imagery is another conduit of this barrage. Even if you watch some of the less tainted programs on television, the incessant advertisements barrage our eyes with imagery that encourages un-Godly thoughts and desires.
Mention of Christ the Savior is pretty much forbidden in our public schools. Yet tolerance of those behaviors, He forbids, barrage the ears of our children.
This barrage includes an un-Godly redefinition of good and evil. Those who embrace Christ’s loving commands regarding marriage are called “haters” for rejecting perverse behaviors which violate His righteous standards. God condemned such redefinition of good and evil through His prophet Isaiah.
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
Only those, into whom God has imparted living faith, will be protected from the incredible deception of evil.
Have you asked Christ to save you? Is He redirecting your heart, away from the world’s barrage of evil, to His Word?
