Are You Violating God’s Strict Demands

Modern scientific minds understand that physical laws have strict requirements. NASA’s “Mars Polar Lander” demonstrated this. It was destroyed upon entry into the Martian atmosphere on September 23rd, 1999. The 10 month, $327 million dollar journey ended in disaster. This resulted from inconsistent use of measurement units.
Small computational errors in planning the satellite’s trajectory caused the disaster. The scientists involved were painfully reminded that violating these strict physical laws is deadly. Yet, many today refuse to admit that God, who designed these physical laws, also established spiritual and moral laws. Violation of these laws brings even more serious and eternal consequences.
Shortly after creation, God gave Adam a simple command to refrain from eating the fruit of a particular tree. He warned Adam that disobedience would bring death. It did! Both physical and spiritual death has plagued mankind ever since.
Many religions have been perpetrated since then. Some require the offering of babies to false Gods. Fallen men throughout the world have invented a host of differing gods and goddesses. Most of this is done in an effort to earn eternal blessing after death.
Some argue it’s wrong to claim that only one religion is right and all the rest false. These people argue that all religions lead to the same destination. They say that as long as you’re sincere in what you believe, you have nothing to worry about. Interestingly, such sincerity on the part of NASA scientists didn’t alleviate disaster. Why should we expect sincerity to save the day in God’s spiritual realm?
Scripture clearly indicates that only the resurrected Christ can provide salvation.
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6)
Listen to God the Son, Jesus Christ:
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
John the Baptist, speaking of Jesus said:
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)
If you read God’s scriptures yourself, you’ll find that, once sentenced to that above mentioned “wrath,” one will never have any hope for relief.
Jesus bore God’s punishment of sin for His people by dying on the cross to pay that penalty. He was placed in the grave where he remained three days and three nights. Then He rose from the dead certifying the success of His mission of deliverance for all who trust Him. There is no other means of salvation!
Rejoice if you are trusting the risen Christ today!
