How Does He Know You?

Have you ever heard, “It’s not what you know but who you know!”?  Many spend their lives developing influential contacts hoping to achieve great success in life.

While developing these “right relationships,” many ignore an even more important eternal relationship.  There is one most important person with whom many do not have a personal relationship.  His name is Jesus Christ.  He is God in the flesh.  He is the only Savior.  He was born of the virgin Mary as prophesied throughout the Old Testament Scriptures.  He came to “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).  He is the ultimate judge regarding eternal matters.  In the Day of Judgment, there will be many awful surprises as this Savior sends multitudes away into eternal perdition.  Many of these will be very religious people who think they have done many noble works.  Listen to what Jesus says about them.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23)

Where shall Jesus send these astonished individuals?  The gospel of Matthew provides this additional detail as follows.

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”  (Matthew 25:41)

However, of those who ultimately inherit eternal life, Jesus says,

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.  I and my Father are one.” (John 10:27-30)

Are you ready to meet Jesus, the only Savior and ultimate judge?  Are you redeemed by His blood and following Him?  Does He know you?
